We provide structural engineering for load-bearing wall removals and new structural openings, including open-plan kitchens, combined living areas and widened doorways. Removing internal walls requires careful consideration of the existing floor and roof loads, suitable bearing positions and the building’s lateral stability. We design steel beams, supporting posts, goalpost frames, padstones and foundations where required, providing the structural calculations and drawings needed for Building Control approval.
